Well, I finally received my letter of acceptance to grad school, right when I was debating if it was worth it after all. I’ll give it a try and see how it goes. Apparently, the communications master’s program students collaborate a lot outside of class in order to help each other find work.
In the meantime, I’ve been reading movie magazines and–in light of the new Sofia Coppola release–decided to watch her earlier works and see how I like them. Somewhere was okay. The jumps between scenes were too detached for my taste, but overall, she managed to convey a story of a Hollywood father relearning what is really important in his life–his daughter–and that he can be a better man. I watched Marie Antoinette several times previously, and I am currently watching The Virgin Suicides. I tried watching Lost in Translation before, but I’m hoping I will like it better after going to Tokyo.
